Saying goodbye for the summer

Isaac left today for the summer!  He will be gone a little over 7 weeks-approximately 2 weeks at boot camp and 4 weeks in Trinidad/Tobago, and then he will have a debrief.  Thank you to everyone who supported him!  You could have done so many other things with your money, I appreciate the sacrifice you made to help send Isaac on this trip.  Those of you who have signed up to be a prayer partner-please, please don't forget.  Isaac left with a gaping whole in his heart-that can only be filled by Jesus.  At this point, he has rejected Christ.  I'm so thankful that Teen Missions is geared to minister to the teens they send.  They require the kids to spend 30 minutes a day in devotions.  They are also required to memorize a tremendous amount of Scripture!  I pray that God will use this time to reveal who He is to Isaac, and also cause Isaac's heart to melt in the warmth of His love.

On Sunday I took Isaac for some "special time".  We went and explored the Ivey Creek Greenway on bikes.  It was SO much fun!  I'm a bit sore because I haven't been on a bike for that long in forever-but it was well worth it!  I couldn't believe that all of this beauty is literally in our backyard!  Well-not exactly our backyard-but right behind the Mall of Georgia!  I love Georgia's protected green spaces!

Isaac got a camera from his grandparents (thank you!) to take on his trip.  He had fun playing with it on our little outing...

"From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.  God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach for him and find him, though he is not far from each of of us. 'For in him we live and move and have our being.'  As some of your own poets have said, 'We are his offspring.'"  Acts 17:26-28
