Our Thanksgiving week...

We drove to Florida this year to visit with Steve's parents and his sister's family.  It is so nice in Florida this time of year, the weather, not too hot, not too cold.  Steve's mom and dad live in a retirement community that is beautiful.  It has everything you would need and people drive around on golf carts everywhere.  The boys LOVE riding in the golf cart.

Steve even let Micah sit in the drivers seat and drive the golf cart this year!  Actually, each boy got a turn, at least steering.  What a blast we had.  We took the boys to the pool, the playground, and even took a trip to an orange grove to pick oranges and to Juniper Springs, an amazing beautiful natural spring.  Steve's mom also taught me how to knit in the round and I began a simple light blue baby hat for our newest little edition.  Yes, a blue hat, for a very BOY baby, for those of you who didn't know.

My mother-in-law who is an excellent cook, made a delicious Thanksgiving meal.  I was not of much help with anything other than taking turns with Steve hovering over Benjamin as he tried to explore and get into everything in their home.  All I could do in between my "turn" was rest.  Benjamin is SO adorable at this age, and SO much trouble.

Here are some pictures from our trip to the Orange Grove:

The boys cousin, Sophie, came with us.  The boys just LOVED being with her every second they could get!

We picked 2 1/4 bushels of oranges.  They were a bit on the costly side, but, the good thing is, they raise their oranges organically!  Always a plus!  We will be having orange juice every morning for a while!  Yum!  I bought an electric citrus juicer, which is so much easier than using a typical juicer because you don't have to peel the fruit.

On another note, I finished the knitted hat today and figured out how to use the double pointed needles on my own.  It was not easy!  Very tricky, but I'm sure it will get easier.  I believe the hat turned out a bit too short (when Steve told me he thought it measured 5 inches I was happy to stop knitting at that point.  I should have waited until I had a ruler to measure it!--but we were in the car on the way home from Florida and one wasn't available)  I also think it is too wide for a newborn.   Here's a couple of pictures of the hat:

So, I will knit it again and make it longer, and less wide!
