A couple weeks after Benjamin was born, a lady in my homeschool group posted that her husband, who is a guitar teacher, was offering a summer special: 6 lessons for $100.00! That is a great price for lessons and better yet, he was willing to come to my house for the lessons!
Well, it has been difficult to even carve out 30 minutes for a lesson and maybe even more difficult to practice each day, even if for only 5 or 10 minutes. The last two lessons I've almost had to cancel due to family needs! Today, after a trip to the pediatrician for yet another illness, thrush, and a purple mouth and some other purple things :), I went ahead and had my lesson.
My teacher introduced me to classical guitar and finger picking. It is so beautiful! I actually learned to play my first lullaby! So, so simple, yet so pretty. God is good to give me this gift of learning music during such a difficult season of life.

Wow! I love classical guitar. Make yourself find time for this Abby! You haven't mentioned this to me...I guess all of our conversations are full of distractions these days.
