Wednesday Yarn Along...

I'm taking a small break from my knitting/sewing projects to draw/color some pictures for the babies room.  I love insects and nature in general and that is sort of the "theme" for the babies room.  I am going to paint four of these insect pictures and put them in a large white thrifted frame with a mat.  To draw them I just looked at a picture in a simple how to draw creepy crawlies book.  Then I colored them in with water color pencils.  Those are so neat!

The book is one I ordered from Paperback swap and is very cute.  Lots of nature descriptions as the boy roams around his farm, and then the sweet story of his friendship with a cricket.

Your little insects are so cute! I love snails personally. They're so sweet with their shy little antennae and swirly shells.

Your kids are lucky to have such a creative mama!

I love water color pencils too! Your snail is super cute, right now all I'm drawing is military ribbons on flash cards for my dd to study. She has a promotion test coming up!

I am a horrible artist but one time I saw this folk chicken in a children's book that I loved. So, I copied it and it turned out pretty good. I love "making" my own art. I would love to try it again sometime. Great job.
