Introducing...

Mercy!
Micah 6:8
He has showed you, O Man, what is good.  And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love
mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.

So....  my husband has been wanting a dog for a looooong time and I've been resisting for a loooong time!  Well, my husband went out of town for 11 days and my sister came to my mom's house with a litter of 6 puppies that needed a home.  I had already been thinking about getting Steve a dog for his birthday in May so it was only natural for me to go ahead and consider one of these and surprise him when he got home.  The first 24 hours I considered it I felt very tired all over just thinking about it.  Taking a puppy out every 30 minutes to an hour?  How was I going to do that while taking care of a baby and three boys and homeschooling and all the other things I do each day.  Somehow (God) I came around to excepting the idea and embracing the challenge.  But not without a little preparation.  I went crazy the day before I went and got her.  I went to three grocery stores and bought the ingredients for a total of 17 dinners and cooked frantically all afternoon and evening.  You should have seen my kitchen when I was done.  I'd never seen so many dirty dishes or a floor so greasy.  I had to deep clean the counters, sweet the kitchen floor and mop to get things back in order that night, after a long day of grocery shopping and cooking.  Needless to say, the next day I was exhausted.  That is when I went to pick up our little puppy!  And the same day Steve was due to come back.  Not the best timing but I'm glad to have a freezer full of meals to give me a bit of a break this month while I adjust to being a mommy to four boys and a puppy.  Oh and she is a girl!  Yeah!

So I met my sister at a park in Loganville to pick up little bit.

My sister even brought me a puppy carrier to borrow!

I love the color of spring green leaves!

My sister whom we all affectionatly call "Hanty" (my oldest son started calling her Hanty instead of Aunty and it just stuck) says good bye!

Micah looks evil in this picture!  I didn't realize it when I uploaded it!

So I wanted to surprise Steve and had worked it all out...  Only when Steve walked in the door Andrew said, "YOU HAVE TO SEE OUR DOGGIE!"  Darn it.

I sure do hope Mercy potty trains and all that.  She is our third try at a dog.  The other two were older adult dogs with bad habits and a dislike for children.  They say the third is the charm right?

You did it you crazy woman! She is cute though. They are always cute until they pee, poop, and puke on your carpet. :) You are a good wife, Abby. Happy house training!

She is so cute! I need one of those carriers for my Toy Poodle. When you mentioned Loganville are you talking about Georgia? We live in Northeast Georgia and used to live very close to Loganville in Lawrenceville.
Blessings
